CHARITY HILL WALKING

The company I work for, Bancon Homes, have recently undertaken to support local charities each year, carrying out a number of group and individual fundraising events.  In 2017, our chosen charity was CLAN cancer support, and a group of us tackled the climb of Lochnagar in September of that year, raising over £7,000.  The walk was unfortunately hampered by constant rain and zero visibility, and photographs were limited, but I have displayed those that I did get below.

In 2019 we lost our friend and colleague Irene Steel to cancer, and because CLAN cancer support had directly helped her and her family through the illness, we decided to repeat the challenge in September 2019, this time climbing Mayar and Driesh.  The weather was our friend this time, so the resulting photographs were a little better.
